The opportunity to get paid to play the game we love is no longer a far off dream or something only the men can do. Women have been playing professionally overseas since the beginning of the 21st century and continue to do so today. It is a great way to continue to play after university/college and travel the world! With only a few available spots on each team (as teams can typically only play three North American imports per game), the competition to earn a spot is high. Lots have done it and perhaps you can too!
With teams in countries such as Austria, Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Italy, Norway, England and Russia (to name a few) women get to fulfill their lifelong dreams of playing professionally while also getting the experience of traveling outside of North America.
