The Canadian Women's Hockey League (CHWL) is an elite women's hockey league in Canada where top female hockey players come to train and compete. The CWHL is currently a five team league with teams in Montreal, Boston, Toronto, Brampton and Alberta. The CWHL provides a place for elite female hockey players from all over the world, to show off their talent on the ice.
The CWHL exists to allow elite level players the opportunity to play after college and continue to work toward Olympic and national team goals. Though the leagues are considered professional, the players aren’t financially compensated, and many of them are continuing their education or working fulltime. Building a future for women in hockey, the CWHL continues to prove that the women's game is still growing!
