First I’d like to start by saying Happy New Year to all! Winter break was a great time to get a little break and spend quality time with family and friends back home. The holiday season is always a fun time of year and I hope everyone enjoyed it!
As that came to an end, some girls arrived back on campus on the 27th, 28th, or even the 29th.
Everybody had to be back on the 29th for practice. We spent a couple of days in Boston practicing before we packed up our bags, loaded the bus, and were on our way to beautiful Lake Placid on the 31st. We were fortunate enough to have a few nights at the Olympic Training Center and continue our practices and lifts.
After our stay, we then proceeded to St. Lawrence where we lost to the saints 6-0, but came back to pull out a 4-3 win over Clarkson the following day. It was a good win and a happy bus back to the city. Overall, it was a great trip and quite the experience.
When we got back to Boston, we had a couple of days off to give our bodies a rest before we faced off against Boston College. It was a battle of Boston on Wednesday, but the Eagles came out strong and ended up defeating the pups with a score of 6-2. With a tough loss we are just going to have to come out even stronger against Cornell on Saturday, January 12th at Mathews Arena. It should be a fun and exciting game. It's been a tough stretch for the Huskies, but I'm going to end this post by saying that we will have another Boston rivalry against Boston University on Wednesday January 16th. The puck drops at 7pm at BU and I hope to see you all there. Which will be the better dog… The Husky or the Terrier? I hope everyone is having a wonderful 2013 and I will update y'all in another month!
