Montréal Stars to Host Outreach Games
15 January, 2013

The Montréal Stars will take advantage of their first two home games of 2013 to visit two communities where girls’ hockey is in full development in the region. They will play Brampton on Saturday January 19 at 5:30 PM in Longueuil and on Sunday January 20 at 12:30 PM.

The Saturday game will take place at the Émile-Butch-Bouchard arena (200, rue de Gentilly, Longueuil) and is presented in collaboration with the Collège Édouard-Montpetit. Longueuil mayor Caroline Saint-Hilaire will do the ceremonial puck drop.

The Sunday game will be held at the Ville Mont-Royal/TMR arena (1050, chemin Dunkirk, Mont-Royal) and presented in association with the Mont-Royal/Outremont Girls Hockey Association. On both days, spectators will have the chance to take part in fun games with prizes, to watch young players exhibit their hockey skills and to meet the players during the autograph session after each game.

Olympians Meghan Agosta, Julie Chu, Charline Labonté, Caroline Ouellette and Catherine Ward will be on the ice for the Stars, while the Brampton team will also feature international caliber players such as Olympians Jayna Hefford, Gillian Apps, Cherie Piper, Lori Dupuis, and goalie Liz Knox.

The admission fee is $10 but free for youth players (under 18) wearing their own team jersey.
